Gadsden City Council Members Appointed

Councilmember
Kent Back – District 4

Kent Back, City Councilmember District 4 has been appointed to serve on the National League of Cities’ Finance, Administration & Intergovernmental Relations (FAIR) Committee.

Councilman Back was elected to a one-year term and will provide strategic direction and guidance for NLC’s federal advocacy agenda and policy priorities. The appointment was announced by NLC President Kathy Maness, councilmember, Lexington, South Carolina.

Cynthia Toles – District 1

Cynthia Toles,  City Councilmember District 1 has been appointed to serve on the National League of Cities’ Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Committee.

President Toles was elected to a one-year term and will provide strategic direction and guidance for NLC’s federal advocacy agenda and policy priorities. The appointment was announced by NLC President Kathy Maness, councilmember, Lexington, South Carolina.

Deverick Williams, – District 2

 

Deverick Williams, City Councilmember District 2 has been appointed to serve on the National League of Cities’ Finance, Administration & Intergovernmental Relations (FAIR) Committee.

Ben Reed, – District 7

Ben Reed,  City Councilmember District 4 has been appointed to serve on the National League of Cities’ Public Safety & Crime Prevention Committee.

Councilman Reed was elected to a one-year term and will provide strategic direction and guidance for NLC’s federal advocacy agenda and policy priorities. The appointment was announced by NLC President Kathy Maness, councilmember, Lexington, South Carolina.

 

 

As a committee member, each appointed Gadsden City Councilmember will play a key role among a diverse group of local leaders in shaping NLC’s policy positions and advocating on behalf of America’s cities and towns before Congress, with the administration and at home.
